Hi folks,

Truck is 2018 F250 with the basic Sync (not Sync 3 touchscreen) infotainment head unit. Before I rip the dash apart, I wanted to see if any of you knew they type of plug that the stock satellite antenna has that goes into the back of the head unit.

I bought this antenna https://amazon.com/g...duct/B01H5D0I1A and was going to mount it on the hood in front of the windshield and run the wire through the firewall to the head unit.

My Ford dealer said he doesn't think it's the same connections, but he couldn't tell me what kind of connection the head unit has for the sat radio antenna.

Any knowledge on this?

Thank you!

On my 2015 SD 250 the connection is on the emergency brake bracket. The connection type is color coded yellow.

I purchased a 1 meter extension,plus the shark tail antenna. $ 30 total
