Budster said "Iíll be traveling south on the 5 as I have decided not to do the Oregon coast this trip, getting a little homesick (I miss Joanie!)". Just click your heels together a few times Dorthy, and you will be home.

Just not the same as it was years ago when I used to come here to water ski. Itís now a KOA. And with a 10% discount it is $40.13 a night. So much for nostalgia, donít think Iíll be back here at those pricesÖÖÖ. Although itís been upgraded very well and a new section has opened up.

Got a call from Glen (tankeryanker) inviting me to coffee this morning as he lives near the 7 Feathers Casino, but I had already hit the road. Cya next time Glen, thanks!!

To all who have followed my travels, Thank You for your kind comments. I may be home tomorrow night, it's 350 miles, will see how I feel tomorrow.

Got home at 2pm. Traveled 4796 miles, averaged 10.25 mpg for the trip. Highest price for gas $3.29 in Ogallala Nebraska, lowest price $2.59 in Cottage Grove, Oregon at a Safeway (includes$0.10 discount) my mileage was achieved by driving at 55 mph where possible. I was in construction zones in Wyoming where the zone limit was 65, as trucks wanted to go faster I did.

A big thanks to all the folks I visited with who showed me the best hospitality, fed me, showed me the sights, made me feel welcome. I owe these friendships to NATCOA (North American Truck Campers Association) where I met most everyone on this trip.

Glad you made it home safe, Jerry. I bet Joanie was glad to see you and you her. It was truly a pleasure meeting you. I wish we would have had more time to sit around and chat on this trip. Next time, for sure! Thank you for all of the pictures you posted. I have enjoyed them immensely.

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.
