Well Jerry looks like your making good time. Looks like you took some of the routes I suggested. I hope they made it a scenic and enjoyable trip through parts of Idaho and Montana. Hope the rest of your trip is safe and fun.

Ed, well while on the road I don't have access to all the good spices that I have at home. I too am glad for the 'small things' like having to se wooden blocks to level now……

Yep, good thing I threw it by the roadside miles ago, got my mpg to over 10 now

I do believe that they keep changing the road names to keep the tourists at bay….

Glad you are enjoying the pictures. I didn't get to meet Doug, they weren't around when I took the pictures or there by the time I left.

Thanks Jerry with a 'J' Did you say feast?, well we only had a salad, fried potatoes and onions, and steak, followed by a chocolate mousse dessert, nothing special but VERY delicious!!!

Budster left Ione ( North of Spokane ) at 8:30 this morning ( 7/30/07 ) heading for the West side of the State. It was hard to see my old buddy pull out of the drive way. He is going Hi-Way #20 and will be posting as soon as he can get Internet access. We sure had a interesting and good time in Ione. Thanks Jerry it was great. The rest of you have a real treat in meeting and getting to know the Budster. He will soon be visiting you guys on the West side of the state and then heading on down to the lucky Oregon group. Looking forward to his posts.

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

Posted Image Posted Image snowmobile races over the river

Posted Image some don’t make it and sink so they have to haul it up……

What a wonderful weekend with xnorp (George & Vi & their family & friends). They have to be the best hosts around. I did have to do a few ‘chores’ to earn my food but it was more than worth it. Vi is such a wonderful cook, and she loves to do it! Meeting their two boys (men now) and their families was great. Bill & Terry friends) were great too! We all sat around talking on every subject except those two controversial ones. The 51st annual ‘Down River’ festival offered many things to do including a train ride and watching a parade and snowmobile racing on water (saw a few not make it across the river and sink). They had to travel over Ľ mile to make it to the other side then come back across. They raced two at a time, first one over won.

07/30/07 Head west towards Marysville, WA and stopped in Twisp at the Riverbend RV campground right on the Methow river. Very nice park with level sites (appreciated as you know from earlier posts mine are broken.)

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

I should be in Marysville, WA tomorrow if all goes well!
