Near Salem, Oregon May 20th weekend Fri, Sat & Sun nights. We have a group site with 25 spots. About 12 are spoken for already.

Mike Dodds is taking care of registrations. (silverfalls@intcoa.com)

Use the form at REGISTRATION

This is the Victoria Day long weekend in Canada and the one preceding Memorial day in the US. We booked Sunday as Canadians can use Monday to return home and retired Americans can stick aroudn as well. that way we don't have to vacate the site too early on Sunday as well. Keep in mind there will be late arrivals on Friday so please use spots that allow late comers to get in OK. It will handle 25 RV's but I suspect we may be able to fit more as their definition of RV probably includes 35 ft 5th wheels. i will ask Mike to try & find out.

George,

Would be great to see you and Vi if you can make it down. Hoping Sooty1234, Tate, Rich Conley, Black Sheep 1, etc., and others can make it down. Would like to see some old friends and sounds like there will be some new ones to meet there to.

Alice and I are presently in the southern climes, very recently in Venice Louisiana. We will be winding our way to Oregon for this rally by way of Texas, Wyoming and Arizona. As this puts us over 3000 miles away will we get credit for this mileage in the contest for who traveled the farthest to get to the rally?Ē Iím sure Paul and Mike Dodds have arranged some great prize, maybe a six pack, for the person who came the farthest and we donít want them to win with a trip of only a few hundred miles.

Make it if you can.

I would love to make it down there for this one. But I've gotta save the vacation time for US Memorial Day weekend and Nebraska. I may try to do the April rally though.

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

Have time off, will camp. I love silver creek falls, hiking the whole trail still kills me though :)

It's the extra walk back if you don't have a ride to the other parking lot that's a killer.

With a group its easy to start each end & do a key swap. I think we will likely have abotu 5 extra spaces for late sign ups. I am hoping we can double up a bit if push comes to shove. There is still the main campground as well.

The only problem with the main campground is if the weathers decent, its a royal PITA to get a site at.

This morning I went out and took some pictures of the group B area.

I threw up a quick page so potential campers can see what they are getting into:

Yup, I've been there before. But I only saw the A loop, not the B loop, the B does look better.

We are planning to extend our Silver Falls trip.
The next "possible" stop will be Chateau Lorane with a one night stay at Richardson County Park.
This is about a two hour drive south of Silver Falls.

This winery was a vendor at the Newport Seafood & Wine Festival. They had one of the better wines.

I've sent Chateau Lorane an email asking if they would consider opening the winery for a small group on Monday - May 21st
Is anyone interesting in this?
