After owning a Fleetwood travel trailer, I had some opinions on the quality I was looking for in my next RV. Eagle Cap has made a very nice unit which has stood up to a lot of camping over the last 16 months of service.

We had some small issues with our '03 950 that needed taking care of.

Like; finish veneer wood at bottom of slide out was rubbing/tearing (dealer fix)
bathroom door latch didn't work from inside (fixed myself)
a black tank plumbing line under bathroom sink wasn't glued (fixed myself)
fresh water monitor never shows below 1/3 full, even when empty (not fixed yet)

We checked out the '05 models at an RV show, and one out of 5 models there still had the veneer problem at the base of the slide. The bathroom inside door latch doesn't exist anymore!

I think the EC has overall good build quality, but just needs a little more Quality Control out on the line.

'03 EAGLE CAP 950, NW pkg, slide out dinette, A/C, TV/VCR, microwave, rear awning, EU2000 generator.

This is a problem with a lot of campers. Mine (an Adventurer) had bits of wood & sawdust all over. I think the bigger the company, the more likely you are to find small quality control problems. Mind you Eagle cap is pretty small. I have yet to see the inside of an Eagle cap, something I hope to rectify this summer.
