OK you guys talked me into it.....I put the plow on the Jeep yesterday and made sure all is working good...it's been in the 60s here in North Jersey, nice but not too good for the striper fishing....the weather could change any day this time of year, may as well be ready....

Sure are a lot of Chevy's tucked away safely under a nice cuddly blanket of fresh snow.
Here is a picture of a working mans truck, covered in sand and muck from bulling it's way to the top of Mt. Tolmie.

Even Seagulls are more adventurous that the Chevy boys............ :P

Hi Collin
Good thing you posted the pics of your truck. My wife loves these units and it's one more feather in Dodges hat. Seeing all the GMs static makes em look cold! My neighbors two Cummins units never shut down in our winters. GM playing is one thing but when it comes to doing actual work in any condition, the Dodge Cummins is always up to bat. :)

I missing the rain now! At least you don't have to shovel it.... The power keeps going out so I just keep the 8000 watt Generac running. PUD's contractors repairs it then another tree fall through the wires. Put the plow on the tractor and cleaned the driveway to the road this morning.

The funny thing is, if a dodge or ford was standing on my driveway, they would have had the same amount of snow <_< Once I brushed off the snow, I didn't have any problems at all getting to work. :)

Looks great, wish we could get some!

OK Ramlin....you READY?????

The mountains are getting hammered, and it was lightly snowing at my house when I headed in this morning. Can't wait to see what we get. We're getting that cold air from the arctic (another name for Canada?) along with moisture fromt he west....could be a doozy.

Hey Bigfoot, I think the reason people wait to get tires is the same reason the studs are still on in June. LAZINESS!

Nice pic of the Dodge out in the fun.

Beddows - I know of one other way that Chevy might leave the driveway - with a thief driving :) Just kidding!

Here is the latest picture of the weather sent to us from the Coast.
Thanks guys! A windchill of -35f and snow that's turning into cement.
5 hours of shoveling snow and I am off to work. Just when I thought I was done for today! :(

Well its coming down again. A real mess. Vancouver has 35 snow plows (its not supposed to snow here) for a city of 2 million, so unless you are on a main drag, forget it.

You guys are getting the ugliest snow you can get! Wet and heavy and does not move without a lot of effort.
We hate driving in that slushie stuff because you don't know where the ice is. To keep the truck in 4x4 or not, that is the question. Japan uses water to wash this snow away. Seems to work for them when it's just above freezing. Can your streets stand more water?
We don't have to worry about the snow bending the trees this year. -20c and the wind just blows it onto the driveways. :D

Hey Sally, I believe you do have to clean it off. We don't get snow here, but heavy rains interfere with the signal and my brother has mentioned being out cleaning off his satellite in the snow in Virginia.

In the end, I think we got 14" or maybe a little more....but here's the kicker. Using my left leg (which was broken 2 years ago and still gives me trouble if I put any side pressure on it) I could sweep my boot back and forth and the stuff just pushed right out of the way and through the ballusters (sp?) on our deck. Not even any knee pain. This was the lightest/fluffiest snow I can remember ever having at our house. White smoke....and WHY AM I NOT SKIING!!!!!!!!!

I guess you aren't in California or it would be called Sierra Cement. What is it, BC Bricks? Cascade Crud?
