Paul, if you were in Toronto right now you would be basking in the sunshine at plus 14c (or about 57 farenheit for us pre-metric types). I'm just across the end of the lake from there, and it's outside-chores-in-a-t-shirt time. :P

Its snowing here, too, but the temps are just enough above freezing that it is not sticking. :P Wish it would. Maybe it will overnight and tomorrow I'll just have to stay home from work. Ya right. Keep dreaming, Sally.

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

I don't think Terry's goign in tomorrow, its supposed to get colder. They have very few snowplows here and not too many people have snow tires on, judging by the roads out there.

Snowing like He## in Spokane. We have about half of a inch right now. Next Wednesday it is suppose to be in the teens for the highs and lows in minus numbers. Hate winter. Sorry skiers.

Raining cats & dogs here on the coast. I Thought our 5vr was going to blow over last nite with the wind gusts.

Met up with WitchDoctor & had a real good visit with Chris & Karen. We got the tour of their new Snowriver. Sorry xnorp I think we like the 10.2 floor plan. We are going to meet up with the snowman on friday & pic his brain.

Went for a hike this morning while it was a light snow. I met up with a buddy and we climbed a small mountain, but during this time the snow got MUCH heavier. Pretty soon we were hearing the sound of branches breaking from the heavy wet snow. After seeing 5 big branches go down we finally got out of the forest. :P
On my way home, I dragged a young girls Camry out of a ditch, typical West Coast driver driving on summer tires in the snow. 4 wheel low sure came in handy but man did I have to baby her out of there, I had lent someone my tow rope a few weeks ago so I pulled her out with a ratcheting tie down! (cargo, not camper) It broke just as I got her out. Between the hike and crawling under her bumper I was completely soaked.

Now I have had my big breakfat and am enjoying some fresh coffee and football in my warm living room. :)

Still accumulating here. I guess Dean & Sally are just far enough south that the arctic air has not hit them yet. I would say there is a good 8 inches on the ground.

Snow is rare here except on the mountains. 90% of drivers here think they should immediately head for the closest ditch. No doubt the eve news will have lots of amusing footage.

This is not leaving my driveway:

Ok Paul. I will see your snow bank and raise you 3". :P
Right now the snow on the hood of my truck is even with the bottom of the camper overhang.
However there were some great shopping deals to be had today, and no line-ups. New sofa, love seat and chair. All I have to do is figure out how to get them home!!! :P :)

Snow is sticking in Stanwood now. We've got a couple of inches. Its a wet heavy snow and the branches of the shrubbery around the house are breaking. Its okay though - they needed pruning next spring. The power keeps going off and on and we don't have any satellite TV which means no football! Yikes!! Does anyone know if we need to clean the dish off?

We're supposed to drive into Everett tonight for a concert. This should be interesting. We are thinking of taking the truck and camper in case we get stuck. At least we'd have a warm comfy place to crash during the night. Plus the 4 wheel drive might come in handy.

But I'm with xnorp - I don't like winter.

Darn you guys spook me !! It's in the high 60 range and short sleeve weather lol I'm hoping we don't even get any this year but if we do 3 to 6 in is about it most of the time but to tell you the truth I'm looking for a reason to take the 3500 4x4 out and play lol The only other 4x4 I've had was a 2003 ford Expoler Sport and it sat too close to the ground to call it a off road rig . Anyhow keep all that stuff up your way .

I spent most of the day beating snow off our cedar hedge. There was so much snow bending them over, I discovered we have neighbors !
I'm sure glad we live only 5 minutes away from my work, people sure don't know how to drive in this stuff.

Sounds like the drivers on the wet coast haven't improved since I lived there 40 years ago. One little storm and the body shops were set for the whole winter. Most of my family live on the Island... guess I'll have to call and razz them about being snowbound.
On the other hand, maybe maybe I shouldn't be so smug. When you guys get hit, we usually get it a week later!
Oh well, welcome to Canada.... and yes...I HATE WINTER TOO!!!!!

Hey Sally, I believe you do have to clean it off. We don't get snow here, but heavy rains interfere with the signal and my brother has mentioned being out cleaning off his satellite in the snow in Virginia.

One of the few good things about winter...sitting in front of a roaring blaze in the fireplace!
