Well, I decided to do it today. Went from 16"tires to 18"tires. Very expensive upgrade, new tires and rims are attatched to a new Ford 350 shortbox 4x4 deisel Lariat. had to upgrade the GVWR to 11,200lbs to experiment with putting our 9'6"camper with separate toilet and shower on a shortbox Ford. The center of gravity works so I will check out handling capabilities and try to stay legal (or close to it) Will let you all know if it works.

Dear Dan,
I have had numerous requests for a camper with a dry bath to fit a shortbox. I would love to experiment with GM but they don't build a shortbox one ton truck. Was that fat chick's name Donna?

Ok I don't get the joke about retirement?
Family health problem, necessitated us to give up our TC and Truck and purchase a 2006 Pleasureway Plateau Class B, 22 foot motorhome, on a Dodge Sprinter with 2.7 diesel engine, fully self contained with Onan gen.

Formerly We had an 01 Ford F250 SuperCab, V10, and 2004 Lance 1010 Camper.

We will always be TC'ers at heart. Our first TC was a 1964 Siesta Cabover Camper on a 1964 Ford 3/4 Ton Truck.

[attachment=414:attachment]Glad I got my camper last week before Bob retired. We love our new Snowriver 10-2. I just finished installing a water filter system and the microwave. Next will be the flat screen TV. While at the factory we installed the sleep number bed and it was a perfect fit. Our first night at Bobs place it got down to -10, so it put the camper to the test. No condensation on the windows and non under the matteress. Kept us warm and comfy. Our camper came with the silver bubble wrap on the sleep deck." Bob does listen."
Until you experiance the Snowriver hospitality, of the folks at the factory and Bob and Heather you will never understand what you are missing.

Bob,
Does the F450 come in a shortbox?

Today we went to the number 2, Bigfoot dealer; Kramer's Kampers in Zion, IL to look at Alpenlite and Bigfoot. In Alpenlite only 2 models have a bath that I can fit in; Saratoga 930 & 935. In Bigfoot the roomiest baths are in the 30C10.11FR/SL models followed by models 30C10.11SL & 25C10.6E. Wife prefers the Bigfoot line, so far.
Sure hope your dry bath in that 9.6, lets a man lean to the right on the Thetford. I felt comfortable with the 6'4" interior height, so Snowriver will be seriously considered.

If any SB owner is planning to drive through the Milwuakee area, before June; sure would like to see one.

SB owners, are the bath's roomy?

Just about gave me a heart attack. You can't retire til I'm ready for that new camper. The truck is the first priority in the spring.

Sooty,
Congrats on the new SR. You're the envy of the TC world now. :D
How about some more pics?

Trucker:
The SR/SB baths are roomier than most. My husband and myself can both fit in the shower stall. :P
And the crapper is up high enough that my feet don't touch the floor when seated. So, if you're taller it would be perfect.

Snowman:
You had me going for awhile also, but then I was thinking...maybe your daughters would take over and then the female clients would be entertained at Long Johns peeler bar in Penticton. (I'm assuming Slack Alices is a peeler bar)?

Lovely establishments actually. Us dirty perverted men sit there ,drink beer and conduct business meetings while well paid women get naked ...... I love Canada!

Bob

I heard that chev maybe coming out with a 1 ton short box ........ do not know how much truth there is in what I heard but I thought it only fair that I encourage a chev since I converted to snowbird. I have a complete pakage now (snow on a chev ), so at the you stage you are in your life you should have the complete package too.

Oh come now, Joanne, an afternoons entertainment at a peeler bar is wholesome and healthy for a red blooded Canuck gentleman. Enjoying a barley sandwich while some bodacious young darlin' disrobes in front of you sure beats mundane chores around the house or carrying out endless renovations :D Ya gotta love how acrobatic these young "pit woofies" are when they're swingin' from that chrome bar in the middle of the dance floor :D :D ........................Steve...

I sure wished when we were shopping for our 5'er that a Snowbird could have been included amongst the choices. I know you only build TCs right now but could you ever see yourself branching out into the trailer field?? IMHO, the next best brand to the SB/SR is the Citation Supreme/Corsair Excella lines and now that they offer slides in there TC series they're sure to be a hit. I know that our 5'er, even though it's 3 years old this year, is truely a fine quality piece of workmanship ie: plumbing and electrical runs are very neat and tidy as well as fit and finish. It sure would be nice to hitch up to a Snowbird 5'th wheel trailer someday. :D ...................................Steve...

Dear George,
Same floor plan as your 9'6, with a few changes barely noticable to help improve the weight. When people ask for something we normally take a good look, do some research and if it is doable we will offer it on the market.

Dear Steve,
Been there and done that., We started as a manufacturer of top end 5th wheels. I had a lot of experience from General Coach. The Citation is a good brand name, and I am sure you will be pleased with your 5th wheel. But if you are looking for a camper with a slide-out. I kept a few secrets for myself.
