I have figured out logistics on where to stay for the route that is shown in the link at the end. Start in Republic for one night. Go to Colville for one night. Then on to Metaline for the 3rd night. Only 100 miles broken up with stops of views and history. Tell me what you think...is there interest? Dates would be Columbus Day weekend or Thanksgiving Day (October) for our Canadian friends.

Here is the map link:

I like this route. We'd go up to the border and follow the Columbia back down to Kettle Falls, then continue meandering back home afterwards.

You will have to deal with maximum vehicle height. Between the camper base and cab over under side is about 4' and the overall height of the camper is 9.5' - This means that over 5.5' of camper is above the cab roof of the vehicle. In my case, the Ram chassis cab deck is 3.5' above the ground and puts my camper over 13' high - Do you really want to be any taller than that? If your cab height gets to be too much, you need to think about tucking the camper cab over behind the vehicle cab which will add to overall length.

You may be correct on height, I believe that I would be over 14' with a cutaway...not road legal
