Our old camper used the wonky 6 pin connector and our new one uses a standard 7 pin. Dealer didn't have one, so they made up a patch fort to the trailer hitch at the rear.

What are you using for the female plug to connect to the truck? Are some better than others?

I've seen Curt, Reese, Pollak. Any feedback appreciated.

Any of those brands will work. You can pick up what you need at your local NAPA parts store also.
