Hi gang;

It's been awhile since I've been to the forum.  We had to have our camper roof rebuilt this year, so after it sitting unused for almost 2 years, I'm looking forward to seeing some friendly faces again.  Whatever happened to the Fall Colours or a Silverline gathering?  Or is anyone else interested in getting together somewhere for a quick campout?

I hope everyone is well, healthy and camping on!

I am always up for a weekend outing. My vacation time is about gone since I have been off since knee surgery.

 Last year we did the Seafood Fest Rally. There is nothing planned this year for any location. If its with in a days drive from me...I would show up. I am just not doing any rally or gathering plans this year. My time is being spent on next years rally in Oregon.

 Let me know...I am very interested!

Missus and I don't have any fall plans, as Ms. Merry probably won't be done till winter at my current rate of construction.   We do have tentative January Plans for her birthday back up on Whidbey Island and the seattle area.   Still sorting if the K10 suburban can be towed four down or not without having to futz with disconnecting the rear drive shaft.

Exciting! Your October sounds like a great road trip. My oldest friend is marrying and leaving the confirmed state of bachelorhood for wedded bliss the middle of October. Got to see to believe for myself.

You had some great weather for that time frame.  Hopefully, everything went well.

We're heading for the eastern Sierras around the first of October.  There's some beautiful country back there that I've only seen while whizzing through on my way further south.

We did have great weather for this last trip. The Franklin County Fairgrounds had full and partial camp spots open in Port Townsend, so we ended up in Sequim for only one night and continued on. My goal to keep the entire rig length under 50' fell long by a foot, so the ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey island was almost $90 - I think we will be using the ferry only when we don't have the big trailer in tow, because the pricing just doesn't make sense unless we are limited in time. I have a short open trailer that may still make some trips on the ferry in the future. Going from my 28" SuperTruss to the 42" model did me in for length. Although I could go with a shorter truss, I would not have full access to my slide tray in the storage bay (unless I unhitched the trailer) if I used one shorter than 36".

Now, we're packing up for our SW loop this weekend we will do in October. WA - OR - ID - UT - CO - NM - AZ - NV - CA - OR - WA.

Utah's Goblin Valley State Park for Halloween should be on your list if possible in October.  Locals attend in costume and hike the great slot canyon there.

We would also love to go to the balloon fest some time.  We did a hot air balloon ride in Taos NM a few years ago and it was a blast.

Awsome balloons but big crowds. Plan on walking or bicycling to places because the traffic will be heavy. We have our motorcycle and buggy with us for all the local trips. Just left Sedona and have settled into Laughlin tonight.

We'll be less than a hundred miles from you.  Leaving Furnace Creek today, re-supply at Costco, Henderson NV then boondock at Government Wash or the RV park at Boulder Beach for the night.  No plans beyond that. . .
