Do you have any Christmas Eve or Christmas Day traditions you look forward to each year?

Mine would be on Christmas Eve. We always go to my dads for Christmas Eve. My dad and I go get Chinese takeout to bring back to his house for our family. We are always "forced" to wait in the bar at the restaurant while waiting for the food. It gives us time to talk about things over a beer. No we do not hang out there all night...just one and we are gone.

Once, my dads wife tried to change that tradition and it was quickly shot down.

Merry Christmas to you and your families.

I must be related to the original humbug scrooge.  I like the music and the lights but find "family" affairs more better during Thanksgiving.

Can't say that I look forward to it.

I'm with Rich. No Xmas decorations, lights, tree or tadu over Xmas. We spend enough playing each year I really can't see buying each other gifts we don't need. We celebrate all year long by enjoying life and having fun.

I bought Sally a 2 year subscription to "Trailer Life" magazine. She got me a Seahawks bottle opener. We are both happy campers.

If we had kids in the house then yes it would be a big deal to give them a good time. Trip and the two cats don't count. Cat's would climb the tree and topple it and Trip would soon be batting ornaments around the house. As would the cats

Instead I spend my Xmas day helping fix a Christmas Dinner for approx. 250 community members at our local Senior Center in Twisp. Fun with friends and warms my heart to see all those who are in need or without family that come in and get a full spread Xmas dinner at no charge. I give to my community.

Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year.

George

Joanne and I are really excited about Christmas day this year. Our two older kids are just that, older and live at their own homes. Cody is 11 and he gets some Christmas gifts in the morning. This year all 3 of our kids and our son in law are going skiing. This is the first time we have had all the kids together doing something with us...just us. Not with all the rest of the family. Super excited to spend time with all 4...(including son in law....he is our son too!) of them.

We will be with the rest of the family for dinner after skiing.

BAH - HUMBUG  - HO HO HO

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

WAIT - I JUST HEARD THAT RUNDOLF DANCING ON THE ROOF. COULD IT BE?

TODAY IS MY WIFE AND MY 60 TH ANNIVERSARY. WE MET 60 YEARS AGO TODAY. I WAS 18 YRS OLD AND IN THE US ARMY, HOME ON CHRISTMAS LEAVE, SHE WAS WORKING AT W.T. GRANTS WITH MY MOTHER. MY MOTHER WANTED ME TO MEET HER. SO I WENT TO THE STORE. SHE TOOK ONE LOOK AT ME AND THAT WAS IT. I ASKED HER WHAT WAS GOOD TO HAVE FOR LUNCH AND SHE REPLIED 'SOLDIER BOY YOU CAN HAVE ANYTHING YOU WANT'.

AND THAT IS THE TRUTH, WELL KIND OF CLOSE. THE PART ABOUT THE ARMY WAS TRUE, THE REST IS  THE WAY I REMEMBER IT.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL.

Will do Stuart:

Sally is currently driving her mother back to Brownsville, TX from WA state. Her mother's WA Visa expired so she needs to go back home for a few months before she can return here. :-) Staying in Tucson tonight then continuing south through TX to the southern coast.
