I have drove up that road a ways but have not stayed at any of the campgrounds. There are a bunch. I need to check out when they close. Usually too early in the season though. I would like to get up that way in Novemeber when the crowds are gone. After a check via forest service it appears they all close the end of September. A thing I don't understand as to why they all close so early. October and November are great times to go.

love everyday like you won the lotto.

No gates at some of the icicle areas. I've stayed at lots of places after the close of the season no problem. The USFS CGs at Baker Lake all have gates. Gates close, it's closed.
