Good debate but why not just buy enough truck to haul the camper you want to carry?

Pete, when you putting a tag axle on that 1500 half ton you use to haul your HUGE camper on?

Ford sells more 150s than all the other 50s combined, way more.

That's the target market. A decent camper on a 150 ,all axles legal.

In my neighborhood, the 150s are their first or second vehicle

Roy:

I don't know you but Pete has a 5500.  I was just giving him crap as he overkills just like I do.  I have an F-450 and F-550 for my camper and 40' 5th wheel.

In the photo you attached it looks like the camper is about to fall out of the trucks bed.  But if you're happy with that set up so be it.

I Know Pete (Bedlam) from being next door neighbor at NATCOA in Colorado Springs.

That photo was taken by someone at some rest area in NM or Az..someone sent it to me, I think on LOA or FORD Truck Enthusiasts

I assume that setup was very temporary .This was my first setup in 2003.then a 250 in 2015.

Are you sure we have not met ?

Roy:

We have definitely met since Sally and I were the Wagon Masters/organizers for the Colorado Springs NATCO event after Rich was forced to pull out.  But with all the events we attend each year between NATCOA and our Grand Design Owners Group I meet 100's of people each year and I'm terrible with names.

We talked to Sally a lot, mostly about Lunds.

We restore old Lunds as a hobby.

Hoping to break even on cost.

Question; >Does the Tag axle plug into the truck's receiver hitch?

How does it attach to the truck?

Yes.

Grade 5 Bolts

And that's part of the patent,if granted, as applied for.
