Good luck with the repair. It doesn't seem to me that the mfrs. have ever really figured this stuff out. It's a lot easier to criticize results than it is to obtain them, but this is a pretty basic problem that nobody seems to get right. You shouldn't have to go thru all this nonsense of checking seals all the time only to have it fail, anyway. I guess it just isn't a big enough market to attract outfits with enough engineering horsepower to put it to bed.

yeah, that and the sr71 blackbird did. the blackbird would have to get to faster speeds so the metal expanded and then the leaks stopped. so maybe....i need to go mach 3 or 4 then with the camper?

Sorry for you guys Rich. It's pouring rain the last couple days. A good time for North-westerners to check their TC's for leaks.

Glad insurance has you covered.

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

yeah it is a bummer but very happy it is getting repaired. besides doing the eternabond tape over the seal around the front markers...i have no other ideas. i think the tape will be a pretty big help.

we just want to get it back so we can use it. we have needed a couple things here at home and guess what? its in the camper.damn.

I know what you mean. Didn't you just have a roof replaced as well? All said and done you have a almost new TC as so do I.

the roof was damaged by negligence of the tire shop guy driving it into the tree.

i guess when you use the camper heavily there is more chance of things happening to it. ill just be happy to get it back. im also lucky i live close enough to have the factory do the repair instead of going through another shop.

They are led lights...but a wire still goes into the camper. It leaked around the base.

Unless you go with an adhesive light strip, I don't see how reduce any more of the holes through the skin. I'm not sure how OEM you you want to stay and much latitude the factory would give you in changes from original...

It is a DOT requirement for vehicles and and trailers 80" or wider.

http://www.nhtsa.gov...y/Trlrpstr.html

If your truck is outfitted with the lights and they are visible with the TC loaded, your camper does not have to have them.
