We have signed up with you and I will call the campground in a few minutes.  Do you know if there will be a bus or shuttle??  Will there be parking at the festival for truck campers??

Thanks

parking is suggested to go earlier so you can find a spot during this busy festival. there is a public bus service and they run a saturday schedule...route #10.

bus link: http://www.clallamtr...outes-Schedules

there is also taxi service.

the bus service seems to be the easiest and lowest cost to do. according to the bus service website its a dollar to ride into town and another to get back.

here is another link with detailed info on the bus ride: https://www.google.c...1!4e3!3e3?hl=en

i hope that helps. as i look at the bus service i think that may be the way i go too.

I'd just caravan into town. The whole group should be able to park together within a couple blocks of the festival. Take a nice walk along the waterfront from where parked to the festival. I would get there by 10 and head to the food tent, get your half or whole crab plate, have your sweetheart get you a crab cake or something else, get her some chowder or something else, then look around at the booths, aquarium, etc... Sample the wines and beers if any and get a bottle or two of what you like. Finish with the small fresh baked pies. Hit up Pacific Hobbies on the way back to the trucks for any toy items, kites. The food tent gets crowded from noon til 2 or 3. Rain can be your friend crowd wise.

The weekend bus schedule is looking pretty sparse.

At this time there are 12 rigs signed up for this event. There are 4 more sites available for our group. All unused sites will be given back to the resort on August 15th for anyone else to use.

At this time I still have a very laid back, go at your own pace kind of plans for this smaller rally. Kind of like I do for the wine tour rally. Ill be reaching out to those who signed up and post more details after the montana rally. As I looked at the calendar its less than 7 weeks after the montana rally, crazy!

Not sure if everyone wants to do a potluck dinner since the whole event is based on food already. Of course we all will most likely gather anyway. I know I plan on spending at least one full day at the festival and walking around town. Im sure a geocache or two will be in my sights to find as I walk around as well.

I am showing that there is room for 2 more rigs. The resort is getting more reservations for that weekend as it draws near.

I show that there are 12 rigs attending this rally. The campground sent out an email to those listed with them and it is in line with my list too. Please respond to their email with information requested. They will be getting back to me very soon with a cut off date for holding sites. That will be very soon I am told. If you are thinking of going, I suggest you contact them right away.

All the unused sites were returned to the resort back on the 15th. There might be a site or two available but I would not wait until the last minute. Really looking forward to this event. At this time, I still do not have many plans on a schedule for this event. The event itself in town has a lot going on. I am thinking of going up to Hurrican Ridge if the weather is good at some point during our stay.

I called the resort last night and all still looks good. I went over the list of people I have and their list.

I am still thinking about just having very limited schedule for this rally, since it is based on a festival already. We can do some planning while there.

I will be arriving at the resort on October 5th sometime. Probably early evening. Our plan is to leave the Spokane area and stay the night near Vantage or Ellensburg. Then drive the rest of the way the morning of the 5th.

I have sent an email to those attending this morning. If you signed up and did not get an email, let me know,

Everything still looks good to go. I see there is a new geocache tour kicking off over there before our arrival. I might do some or all the caches on the tour while there. Waiting to see how far the distances are first though.

On the 6th we will be doing some driving around the peninsula looking for specific geocaches. There is a new geocache tour just launched last week over there. I know most are coming in on that day but if you are there when we take off for the day feel free to join us. We will be leaving in the morning.  It will take us to many great locations. As far as any other drive and stop tour there might be another option for the Lake Quinault location on Friday morning. It is a wait and see kind of gig.
