Seafood Festival

Port Angeles, Washington

Elwha Dam RV Park

10/6-10/9 2016

Are you ready to sink your teeth into some fresh Dungeness Crab? Are you ready to listen to live bands? Are you ready to shop what the local artisans have to offer? How about spending some time with fellow truck camper friends?

Then this is the rally for you!

For this rally there are no set plans as of yet. Keep a close watch on this, as the time draws near there may be things scheduled that you might want to do. What there is to do is enjoy a fantastic crab and seafood festival in the great town of Port Angeles. Port Angeles is also the gateway to Olympic National Park and Hurricane Ridge. On a clear day the views are amazing up top on Hurricane Ridge.

As of today (10/23 2015) there are 10 RV sites reserved for our group. If we fill up quickly I can see about reserving more sites. Be advised, this festival is very popular and getting a site the last minute can be very difficult. As far as our sites, they will be water and 30 amp power. There is a dump station on site. The specific sites are not set but we will all be together. The resort is building new sites and might put us in those.

Site Rates are $38.70 + tax per night (there might be a slight rate increase for next year, to be set spring time)

Be sure to sign up for the rally then contact the resort and make your reservations.

Let them know you are with the truck camper group (NATCOA).

You might want to mention my name too just in case (Rich Bain)

If the Canadian dollar continues it's downward plunge the site we have paid for might very well become available. Will keep you posted. a .60 dollar will be hard to swallow.

We have reserved and paid for our spot now. We are #9 and the lady there said there are 9 TC's signed up and reserved.

With your reservation, they supply you with some good usable local information to go do and see.

Lots of time to figure out activities.

Here's a refresher video on a proposed fall colors drive that starts right outside the RV park and loops around to Lake Crescent and back to the RV park.

watch from 0:00 to 13:35 for sights on the proposed route.

https://www.youtube....h?v=WiwgxnCs-mU

The route could be driven in a little over an hour. If you stop and look at sights, plan for longer.

The lodge is closed for the season by the time of this festival. We might try to go there over the summer. Looks like it'd be a spectacular escape.

Sorry, I was thinking of the Log Cabin Resort.
