With the cancellation of the fall colors caravan this year there is still great interest in getting together for a gathering at silverline resort in winthrop washington. So that is what we will do.

Saturday night there will be a potluck dinner in the resort clubhouse at 6 pm.

Sunday morning there will be a biscuits and gravy breakfast (time to be determined)  breakfast in memory of Bubba.

Also, dakotacamper and mr firewood have offered the following for people to attend:

"If anyone is interested, the Twisp Eagles does burgers and Bingo every Friday night from 5 to 7:30 p.m. George may be calling bingo that night. Cost is $8 for your burger and a one game of Bingo. The remaining 5 games are $1 per card per game. Cheap entertainment. If you are interested, let me know. We can sign in non-members for the evening.

Also, Bear Creek golf course in Winthrop should still be in operation if it hasn't snowed yet. They open at 9 a.m. and I heard they have a new driving range. Play 9 holes or go for a full 18. We might be up for 9 on Saturday depending on the weather."

please let them know so they can get a headcount. just reply on this topic or contact them directly.

please be sure to contact silverline to make your reservations. link: http://silverlineresort.com/

this will be a gathering only at silverline, no caravan will take part.

we look forward to seeing you there, it is always a great time, great place and great time of year to go!

as of 9/13/15 this is the attendee list:

1) Rich & Joanne, the tc life

2) George & Sally, Mr. Firewood/DakotaCamper

3) Rick & Suzanne, Farmer

4) Butch & Sharon, butch50

5) Chris & Karen, WitchDoctor

6) Ron & Billie, rbswengel

7) Robin & Claire, smokeypointer

on wednesday the 7th we will most likely stop for the night at spring canyon campground, it is behind grand coulee dam. since we head out after work that is a pretty good stopping point for us.

we will have our van with us too since we are dropping off the camper at the adventurer factory in yakima after this gathering. we can not fit 3 of us and 5 dachshunds in the regular cab camper truck. lol.

guess ill have to make a phone call next week and see if i can have a campfire at spring canyon or if it is still in burn ban effect.

Well it is with great sadness that Sharon and I have to cancel this get together also, just like the Colo Spgs rally. I guess it is just not meant for us to come and meet a great group of people.

Sharon had a CT scan for calcium a week back and it shows she has some blockage. She had a rating of 1679. 0 is golden and when I had mine just a few weeks ago I was 23 and if you are over 400 they start getting worried. A friend of ours just had his and it was mid 1700 and he is recovering from his open heart surgery. NOT GOOD.

So last Friday she had a stress test and had a DR's appointment today. After meeting with her DR she now has an appointment with the surgeon. They well then schedule a time so they can go up through the artery in the groin and see what the blockage is and then if needed they will probably put in stents at that time.

So with all that we are unable to make the get together.

You all have fun and get some pictures for the people that won't be able to make it.

We had earlier discussed about going to the rally in Glacier Park next year but all plans are on hold at this time.

Butch

Good news to share! We can have a campfire at the gathering. It will need to be in one of our sites in the interior of the park (which sounds like no group site campfire like we have done in the past), and we will need to keep it small and completely extinguish it at night.

Just earlier today our local fire departments were called out for a small brush fire outside of Winthrop. Fire danger is not over, but at least we can enjoy a small campfire next weekend.
