For anyone who is coming from the east, and wanting a different route to take, there is the Old Yellowstone Trail.

It was "created" in 1912, hoping to make it from coast to coast when communities figured they could lure tourists off the trains and to their towns with the new fangled cars. Some of it was roads, and some trails. Maps today give a close approximation and if you are lucky, you can see some of the old signs.  There are a series of booklets telling about it.

We will be coming down from the north crossing at Roosville, BC.

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

just an update for the rally....

15 rigs are signed up for the rally.

be sure to sign up via the link if you are attending, it really helps me keep track and insure you have a spot at the campground.

also, be sure to contact the campground and make a reservation to insure you do get that spot. i will be sending an email to  3 people that the campground says they dont have reservations for. you can always cancel with the campground later if you have to...i hope you dont have to. lol

remember, that campground only does contact via phone. be sure to leave a voice mail!!! they are closed but check the voice mails periodically through the off season.

i have to prepay for them. so yes, the money needs to be up front. that goes for the red bus tour too. i should have a contract from that company in the next few days. then i can get the set up for payment.

i know, joking....but it brings up why.

I'll put you down for 2 seats.
What I'll do is email everyone who signed up for the rally first when I get the rates. I'll then accept the payments so I can get the prepayment done for the buses.
