Well winter arrived last night much to my chagrin. It left about 3" behind and it's as heavy as lead. Luckily it's warming up and should be melted by tomorrow afternoon as one can only hope. Here's a shot of the dump we got..................................Steve...

We just received our first dusting of snow today here in Edmonton. The temp has dropped to -15...brrrr.
The only thing being is our snow will not go away until next March or April.
At least the sun shines here, even when it's -30.

Hmmm... what happened to the "Football thread"... :)

Bad boys.

I'll try not and drag any of this white shit with me when I come down to Greenwood, Jerry. It sure is cooling off tonight +2'C right now and dropping. Winter sucks no matter how much sun is shining. Give me California or Florida any day!!! Oh well the flowers will be blooming in February around here and we'll be camping shortly after.....................................Steve...

We have about 1 1/2 inches on the ground and is snowing like hell right now roads are closed and there are wrecks all over the place. Shoveled this morning and will shovel again in the morning. Hang in there spring will be here in May. Until then we can dream and plan our summer trips. All is not lost.

Thanks, I take that as a compliment. Sometimes I just can not help myself when I see people taking about winter weather, there are advantages to living in the south.

Snow or no snow, Vancouver will look more like Miami by 2080:

Vancouver - Tropical Paradise

Actually it has been warming up over the last decade. Palm trees are starting to appear in Vancouver & some people are growing bananas, like the one that is in my former neighbours yard below:

I have to agree with you wholeheartedly, Larry, with living in the south. This morening it's -4'C which is +24'F. This weather here for us right now is an oddity since normally Vancouver Island weather is moderate all year round. What I like about it here is in the summer you don't get the real hot weather unlike the south where you need airconditioning and the like to make it through. So there are advantages to living up here as well. All in all snow really sucks and that's the best spin I can put on it!!!.............................Steve...

Me thinks this article was written by some tree hugger who had way too many wine spritzers. :)
