*sigh*
At work two weeks ago they opened up the calander for vacations next year. Those dates have been filled by someone else. With unsure dates at the time I have put in for a different time period. I'm sad now.

love everyday like you won the lotto.

HI Wendy.  Good on you for setting it up......would love to make it but we'll be in western MT about then and I "doubt" we'll be able to make it to BC by then.  I can't remember if I properly thanked you for the coffee meet-up and suggestions for camping along the SW coast of Vancouver Island, and especially the tip on Toquart Bay CG where you did that other rally way back...whenever it was.  You helped make that trip even better.

Okay all.  When Pigpen is static for a few days he will make up the registration link for this event, so keep checking back over the next few weeks and be ready to sign up!!!  Looking forward to organizing this event and meeting old and new friends once again.  I think this Rally could be really action packed with all kinds of adventures.  Please give some thought to participating at the very least in cycling the galloping goose and a geocaching event.  If we have enough interest I will pursue group rates for Adrenaline ZipLine.  Their costs are $80 per person, but a group of 14 or more persons will be $69 each.  I can confirm that this is a blast, and only 15 minutes drive from the campsite.  We are also only 10 to 15 minutes drive to Sooke Basin where harbour tours, whale watching tours and kayaking or canoeing is possible.

Hope to see lots of positive feedback!

Wendy

Hello all, we are actually rv'ing in France right now, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We are here for 6 weeks. Just before we left I contacted the Sooke Potholes campground, and it turns out The Land Conservancy is in major financial difficulties and they are not opening the Potholes campground at all this year. Bummer. So I have us all booked into the Sooke Flats community campground instead. I have reserved sites 43 through 59, a total of 17 sites all together, with a communal firepit. We are right beside a bathroom, a covered kitchen area and a clubhouse. The cost is Cdn $35 a night and then subtract 10% for a group discount. These sites are 30 amp and water. There is a sanidump on site. So each person can phone in to Ali or Tim @ 1-250-642-6076 and book one of those sites for the days you want and pay by credit card. The website is www.sookecommunity.com/camping/
Everything else is a go ahead as planned, and I believe that we have 8 tc's signed up as of now, so we still have lots of room for more.
Take care, I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

Count us in, I have to phone. I may not have my TC by then, but will bring my trailer if not. I may have to back out of any US rallys. If I lead a mexican Caravan Oct, I have to be careful of my time out of Canada, I will be pushing the 7 month limit.
