 Invites you to the

it will be held at the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa.

All Truck Campers Welcome!!!

 Itinerary for the Rally

Here is the Plan which is subject to change of course.

                                                       -  Potluck Supper, & Silent Auction

Once again if you wish.   Could rally attendees bring a gift basket or box for

                                                                the silent auction.

Start thinking about bringing a gift box of something that represents your

state or your personality. $8-15 range, or more its your choice.

This was a hit in 2013 what creatively beautiful gift ideas many had.  I liked

                                                                the neat items all found.

Sunday July 27th        -  Farwell Breakfast at the Host's Site.

Biscuits, & Gravy, Iowa Ham, and Eggs.  (Bring your own eggs to help us out), and we'll cook them

also many Fabric Business, and The Amana Church women will be participating in the Seminar.

You men are welcome too.

All rally attendees will get to be judges in this contest.

Don't Forget the

Saturday Night Silent Auction.

Fellow TC'ers,

There now seems to be a small Group of TC's converging on our Farm before the Rally.  Since I'm in the process of putting up a new machine shed/shop, and the old custom use to be was that the farmer put on a Barn Raising party for the neighborhood, with food, music, and dancing.  Well I don't know about the dancing but a potluck, campfire, and maybe some live music.  Thus far we have one volunteer for music, does anyone else have a musical instrument to bring along.  Just tie that piano to the TC and bring her along.

Everyone can take a stroll through our home built 108 years ago, or our Barn built 118 years ago.  The barn is peg & mortise jointed with a full basement (a rarity in barns), or maybe take a ride on our John Deere Tractor. Many have already asked.

I have enough electricity for 6-7, 30amp rigs.  The rest will have to boondock.  In the early morning of the 22nd we will Caravan across Iowa to the Amana, Colonies for the 2014 MidWest TC Rally !!!!!!

FYI- There is a State Park (Prairie Rose State Park) just 8 miles south of us with water, electric, and dump station if you choose that route.

 Come and Join the Fun.

Deadline is approaching for the bus tour.  We need Approximately 5 more people to sign up for the Bus Tour ride to North Star Factory.  Then we can reserve the bus.  If at all possible please sign up sooner than later.

I will need time to collect the money from you after I know the total of people that are coming.  Then I can reserve the bus.  If five more sign up that puts bus totals at 24 people and the price should be about $22.30 per person.  If more sign up the ride gets cheaper.

It would probably be cheaper for you to ride the bus than drive your TC.  The drive would be 171 round trip miles.  so at easy math 10 mpg that's 17 gallons of fuel  X $4 fuel = $68 for fuel.  Two bus tickets would be about $46 dollars.   The more that ride the bus the cheaper the tickets get.  If we fill the bus it will cost $13.38 per person

Thanks

This is what makes things difficult in organizing rallies.  The Bus Company now that we are a little more organized on number of people and the exact time of 6hours of use but only 3 hours of road time has given me a more exact price.  Currently we have 24 adults going on the bus.  Medium bus costs $100 and hour plus $100 road travel.  This is $29.16 each.  If we have anymore sign up we need the large bus.  Large bus costs $125 and hour plus $100 road travel.  So my Apologies to everyone but it looks like it will cost anywhere between $22-33 per person depends on final number the day we climb aboard.  I have to pay $100 down to hold bus.

April 15th is deadline to sign up for bus or change your reservation to a no.  If you don't get signed up by the 15th you'll have to drive yourself.  If there is still room on the bus you can buy a seat.   If you sign up to ride the bus and can't make it to the rally you still have to pay for your seat.  Unless you notify me by April 15th.

Doug
