I also have Happijac tie-downs, but I got rid of my Happijac turnbuckles because they suck (especially off-road).  I then went with Torklift .45 Fast Guns and have never looked back. :tongue0013:

Then they are yours! We'll have to figure something out unless you can hold off for a spring rally or something.

This should be common knowledge, but keep in mind that the original Happijac stainless steel turnbuckles come in two versions ... spring-loaded and the more simple rubber damping turnbuckles (and as far as I can tell, they look essentially similar from the outside).  Typically, you use a pair of the spring-loaded versions in the front with a pair of the rubber damping turnbuckles in the rear.  In challenging off-road conditions I have found that the rubber damping type literally eat their rubber bushings in fairly short order.  The problem with the spring loaded versions in the same conditions is that they start squeaking like crazy and won't stop even with on-highway operation.  Even with our cab windows closed, the extreme squeaking was totally annoying.  Switching to four spring-loaded Torklift Fast Guns cured all of these problems.

I'm using my fastguns, which I prefer.

I got the happijac's when I bought the TC. Figured I might as well take them in case someone was looking for a set or needed to borrow for transporting their TC after a purchase. Since Matt needs/wants them, he can have them. I have no clue about them.

Matt do you plan on doing the spring campout? What about the Montana Rally?

Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll be on the road again, Montana and the spring rally will both be hitting in the middle of contract, so I won't be able to make either.

The closest would have been the January bit, but I don't ski, and the truck still needs repairs, January is new brake booster and master cylinder month as the master cylinder started leaking and weak power on my way home from the Midwest.

The tube length is different between the non dampened and dampened turnbuckles, the shorter two, as you can see in the picture have the longer barrels, which I believe are the two spring loads, the rear rubber loads have the shorter barrel and longer bar for reaching down to your bumper, which is what comes in a standard happijac turnbuckle set, two short for the front with springs and two long for the rear without

Find out who the closest person is to you and hopefully they'll be at a rally that I can pass them off to. I just don't think shipping costs would be worth it because of weight.

I know we have plans to come over to that side of the state sometime this summer if all goes well. I'm sure we'll figure something out. Regardless they're yours until I hear otherwise.

Sooty would be the only person really left from Oregon that still attends Rallies that is near my area that I know, but I haven't a clue if he's attending any of the up coming rallies.
