We are truly saddened to hear of George's passing. We first met George in Aug, 2005 on the Pacific Caravan at the Chute Lake Camp Ground on that elevated gravel road to...well you know what I'm saying. When we made the trip down off that high perch, we had to take a break to cool things down from the load we carried. After a 30 minute cool down, we began our last stretch down the blacktop stretch that we were so very close to....... and who showed up to check on us but none other than George. He was a great guy to turn around on that narrow goat path and check on another Natcoa member.
We also got one of his prized key holder. From the first time we met him, I will always hold him as a true Ambassador to the North American Truck Camper family of friends. We will miss his birthday wishes as he had done for so many.

Cheers to George, we salute you.

We hope that our post is not too late to make the binder for Vi and family. We only learned of George's passing yesterday and it has taken a little time to process.

It was with deep regret that we read that our friend, George, had passed away. Reading all of the above posts, it seems we all felt the same way about George. He truly was one of the good guys. We also feel very fortunate to have met George and treasure our memories of the time we spent with him at Chute Lake, BC, Ogalala, NE and with both him and Vi at their great little getaway house in Ion, WA.

Also, as with many of you, our truck camper key rack was always considered a very special gift from George but now it becomes even more cherished, as does his always great advice and his wonderful tales.

RIP George. You were a true gentleman and you will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure to know you and definitely by the members of the NATCOA forum.

Sincerely, Paula and Jerry Gale
