My wifes main Job is to keep me from backing into the house. Thats a two person job I hold a mirror looking up as the camper goes by the house with 1/2 inch cleareance and 3/4 from the fence. once past the house I get the fun of backing under or removing the TC. Bedlam can state that it is a fine line to get in to my back yard.

Thanks Rich!! It's been a long time in the making and then with life events (our major move, first grandson born, then moving our son & his new family by us) it seemed like it would never happen but we just kept plugging along.

It helped meeting new friends (you & Joanne, bigfoot85 ect...), attending the breakfast get togethers & this forum.

I agree...let's camp!!

Thanks Doug!! We picked it up last Saturday then got it in the shop for a tune-up so it's 100% road worthy.

Hope to have it on the truck and rolling down the road by April 1st. See you soon!

knighteagle my first choice was white but since we went used I got lucky with my second choice (silver/grey/pewter), LOL!

Also think I won't need to add a platform to raise the TC for the rails or cabover.
I have one just in case but not looking like I'll need it. Which is great...less weight!!

Hello jamminalong I've actually been a member for a while just now startin to post. That is an awesome Lance you found first or not it looks to be a keeper to me. Really Nice truck too! Country has a setup I'm jealous over and I'll be pickin his brain for sure. Our first TC is a fleetwood Angler and unless you are Really handy and don't mind workin on it stay away from the fleetwood. I would actually love to find your model Lance cause it would be perfect for what I want to do.

Looks like your set to go and have some fun!

2004 Fleetwood Napa earth quake damaged have no choice BUT to gut Angler. Truck is an 03 Duramax AFE intake EFI Live tuning that gives us a steady 23 mpg fully loaded, 16 in the Sierras. Cobra inverter so she's a portable generator to boot. The tires right now are Cooper 285/75/16 with a 10 ply load range E and she rides nice.

Welcome and it's about time you started posting, LOL! Thanks for the kind words. We had originally planned to buy this spring but I started looking all last year just to get a feel for what was out there. We were very lucky to find this little gem on craigslist only 10 miles from home and be in a position to take advantage of it. It's got some bumps and bruises but overall a good little TC.

Good luck with your project. Be sure to document and post pictures. This forum loves eye candy, LOL!!

I'll see what I can do for sure. The weather here is supposed to give us some much needed snow I'm hoping and praying for it. Your TC layout is the same as ours but the Lance is a way better build and you stand a better chance of getting your money back. If I do anything to ours I will document with pictures for sure. But I have to do a gut job. The side with the fridge has a buckle in the wall which tells me the inner structure is failing. May delay our trips this year a couple of months. We usually hit Yosemite first but with the budget cuts we're not sure on getting over the sierras on our usual route or even if the camp sites will be available for that matter. That thought just popped in my head. Your pass through is what I'm most interested in. I want to make ours almost as wide as the rear window and I know I have to add structure to the TC itself anyway. Lots to do.....

We checked out Tom's Camperland a few times before we moved north.  If I remember right they had Arctic Fox & Lance. The used campers were overpriced but that's expected on a dealers lot.

Pulled the cooktop & sink so we could clean them up better. Looking like we'll replace the cooktop since there's a lot of rust on one of the burners. Also installed 4 LED Lights from ledtrailerlights thanks again deltabravo!! Here's the one over the dinette.

This is an opportunity where you could gain counter space by filling in the former square with a 3/4" plywood insert, topping it with formica, and installing a smaller drop-in cooktop.  Here's an example of a small 2 burner drop-in that could even go sideways in the opening.

http://compare.ebay....mTypes&var=sbar

ON EDIT:  I notice your drop in is a rectangle and is probably smaller than the typical 21 1/2 square stovetop/ovens we all seem to have.   The idea still stands of course, depending on the size of yours.

That's a good idea Bedlam.

One could install a small cooktop in a boxed frame that would set atop a solid counter top, and maybe even hinge up and backwards against the back wall when not in use. It could remain connected with a flex hose this way and you'd gain practically the entire surface for other uses when not cooking.

Hmmmm.... Looking at mine now and wondering about my big stove top.

(I've already decided I don't need an oven attached beneath my cooktop, so I would also gain about 4 cubic feet of storage space where the oven now sits.)
