Congratulations! Nice find and good buy. Now my suggestions: Start making your list of upgrades. Start with the safety issues first, then the "makes it livable", then the nice to have. As an example, you can add a bump pad over the door so your taller guests won't hurt their noggin when they fall -excuse me, when they step out.

Next, make a list of the items you must have for cooking, then see what is excess in your house. Buy a few large plastic containers for your cooking stuff and start moving it to the container. If it won't fit, then rethink your need. If you need to replace the mattress, consider 4" foam. I find it comfortable and easy to move around. Since I have a bad back I don't wake up aching all over.

Good luck and have fun. Remember to buy a truck that is MORE THAN CAPABLE, not just capable. You want extra capacity in the truck since you may end up with a different camper at some time in the future or you might have guests.

Congratulations! I want to second Harried Harry's comment about getting a more than capable truck. Excess capacity is good! You can't ever have too much.

Thanks again everyone!

I think the short bed will limit me to which truck I get. I'm not too worried about the weight since this is Lance's entry level TC. Plus we plan to take the jacks off to limit our weight and we're not pack rats.

hey jamming remmber this in most states as far as I know a TC is not rigestered and is not classified as a RV so it is out side HOA rules. Most city's in there zoning rules with TC you can keep them in the back yard if you can get there they have to have a slap under them. Othersdont can then keep them in your driveway unless you have a HOA. So with that me and my TC just stick our nose up and wave a one finger salute to them. Which burns the HOA here they know they cant force it out. For I have a wider lot than most and I can squize in with inches to spare.

No HOA (never again) but it is registered. Can't get to the back yard so we'll just keep it on the truck year 'round and leave it in the driveway.

I'd rather have it in the driveway also easer to load unload at will more reason to go somewhere. Its acream at you take me along. Till you do and then its happy again. But my driveway would make a better down hill sled run its about 25 degrees slop give or take. Was lucky our lot was wider than most because our stree curves in front of us. But you are right HOA yuk

Thanks Rich!!  :D

Yes white was my first choice but since silver/grey was my second and the previous owner painted the TC silver to match his truck, I was ok compromising just a skosh, LOL!

You do know I'll be driving it to the breakfast get together even if it's dipping into my gas funds.  :character0051:
