Woot woot! It was one of those unexpected deals while shopping craigslist today! Pulled the trigger on a 98 Lance 165. Decided to go used and just get in the game instead of letting life pass us by, so 2013 here we come!!

Montana Rally & Fall Colors Rally.... yep! Count us in!

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

Thanks Everyone!!

Matt unfortunately we don't have the truck yet, LOL! So the camper will be resting for the winter.

This TC reminds me of the Lance 825 that we were originally looking at in the beginning. It puts us back in 250/2500 territory so between the savings on the TC and smaller truck we'll come out ahead from buying a brand new TC.

Now to shop for a Honda 2000EUi and mattress.

Thanks George & Don!!

I think I'm just as giddy about the money I kept in the bank since finding this gem! It only needs a little cleaning and some personal touches then it's good to go.

Let's see if this works...

Buying used for a starter is wise. Even though things may be worn out or need replacing, the outlay will be far less than buying new, just to learn if you really want this experience.

One can replace a lot of parts with the money saved over buying a new one. And, each replacement, such as for a water heater, water pump, lights, etc., merely improves the camper to a like-new condition for that particular part. It will get into better and better shape that way and you will be many dollars ahead in the end when you decide to upgrade to a newer one, or get rid of the idea of a truck camper.
