Thank you for the kind comments. Santa Rosa Beach is truly a beautiful stretch of Gulf Front with ample public access. The Topsail State Park RV Resort is super nice with its own beach access within the State Park. We live about 3 miles from the RV Park. If you are in the area again, try the Grayton Beach State Park Campground. It is about 6 miles east of Topsail along Highway 30-A. It has some full hook-up sites and some water/electric sites that are very private. The park is nestled between the Gulf on Mexico and Western Lake.

Brian

We stayed at Grayton beach state park in '09, but one night only, as it was 32 degrees the first morning, and we were a little chilly. have since done some camper insulating that has made a diff at those temps, but still, that is not what we leave Vt in Feb. for! Dont remeber that the beach there was as impressive as at Topsail. We both had a "WOW" moment when we first saw Santa Rosa beach. We did like the little town of Grayton Beach and stopped there this trip and ate at Shorty's. Good $5 margaritas! we also ventured into Seaside (in '09) looking for a laundromat. Needless to say, not only was there no laundromat, but we got the distinct feeling that if we had set foot outside the camper with a bag of dirty laundry, we would immediatley have been hauled off by the nearest "Official Town-protector of good-taste" and would have been driven across the town line and dropped over into the next county.

If we suck up to you non-rev forum members, maybe you will think were worth the low yearly rate and join. ( I thinking it's only $15 right now). :fing32:

Oh I will be, no worries there. Our company almost went belly up this winter, so things have/are more than tight, Rolled back internet, cut cable, cancelled home phone and disconnected one cell phone, etc....

We'll be back on our feet in short order now that we're above freezing temps here in Edmonton, then by June/July we can finally be official Natcoa members :)

The interstate system of highways is fine for getting where you need to be in a hurry, but it's the road less traveled that is more enjoyable. Take in the scenery before life passes you by in a blur.

I just returned to the states after living in Dundee for 3 years. Never had a truck camper though. Instead it was nights of camping trips in a tent being hammered by the Caledonian wind and rain. In fact, one night on Skye our tent poles busted as we tried to sleep through what sounded like a hurricane. A truck camper would have been a like sleeping in Gleneagles. :)

Hi Gary,
We just came back from the Mid Atlantic TC Rally in Va. and had a great time - met lots of great folks and Jerbear( Jerry) recomended I post our location. The problem is that I am a computer clunker and an not too good at doing things other than typing on a computer.
We are in Somers, N.Y. and I am not sure how to get us on the map!
Can you assist or advise accordingly?
Many Thanks and all the best,
Joe and Nina Mac Donald
