BF:
I hang the electric downriggers off each side of the boat about 3' forward of the transom. There is a reinforcing rail on each side of the boat that helps support the rigger mounting plates (Scotty). It works great. I know my boat is on the small side and I would like to have a larger LIFETIMER but with the cost of fuel and the fact I can launch this puppy almost anywhere I think I'll stick with it for a while. Also it's great when I'm fishin' by myself..................................Steve...

Sorry Steve, that was a tongue-in-cheek question. I was kinda referring to the pictures of the tall ships in your first post. I guess my sense of humor needs work :)

Hello. Newbie here. We have a 2003 S & S 8.5 that we purchased last year brand new from a repo sale and a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. Looking forward to "hearing" what others have to say about truck camping.

Ok--gotta learn how to attach a photo. I'll be back!!

Welcome to the group, and the S&S community. I have the same model but 2 years older. I bet you got a good deal!
I suppose it looks like this:

Thanks for the welcome, but I cannot seem to attach a photo! Any tips?

We have friends that have an older S & S, but there are no dealers in our area. We came across this and several others when we went out of our area to visit RV dealers on our quest and happened upon three models that had been purchased from another dealer. Loved the floor plan, etc and bought it on the spot!

What area do you live in? For images, I think there is a tip section to get ideas, but the basic method is post the picture on the internet somewhere that can be linked to....and then you use the 'picture' icon in the standard reply window (don't use the fast reply.) There are many, but I started using www.tinypic.com....just go to that address, use the browse button to locate a local file, hit the 'host image' button. It will fill in a link (internet path more or less) and you copy that (right-click copy) then go back to the reply window, hit the picture button and it will prompt you for a link....and paste in the path you copied. That's about it. If the photos are big (bigger than 640x480 or so) you'll want to resize it to be smaller. To keep this on topic, anybody recognize this TC? They were parked in a great spot above the Colorado River northwest of Moab:
