I think how they come up on a search is by the amount of traffic that they get. We are small compared to RV Net which has lots of sub categories, that is why we are down on the list but the people who do find us are special. I enjoy the company here and have made a lot of good friends from posting and being active in NATCOA.

I was referred here by Linda at IRV2 forum. She told me there is a lot more TC traffic here. She was right. My post on their TC form is still on page one from this time last year!

iRV2 lost pretty much all of their Truck Camper participants back when RV.net opened the Open Roads forum. Their forum really is should be more aptly named, "iMotorhome2", since most of the active population is owners of the giant Class As.

No matter how you found this site, its well worth bookmarking it and checking it weekly :fing32: I love the emoticons you've added. I used to think I knew something about trucks and campers; after my latest purchases, I know I don't know very much :1381: , but some of you have really helped me realize help is available. Now if my CRS will leave me be, I can go camping or fishing?? :trink08: Of course, now I want a boat to replace my inflatable, but I have to wait until the market goes back up. My retirement check really doesn't replace the check I got when I was working full time. Retirement does beat work! :62_62:

Not sure how we found it... It may have been we received a brochure at the Mid-Atlantic Rally in 2009 or when we were searching the web to find a tc'er. Know matter how we found it, we are glad we did as it has some of the best information to be found overall about what we love doing.

Ah yes, it seems like yesterday. I had been an RV.net member when a group of truck camper minded people decided to have a baton to pass along across the US. That morphed into the North American Truck Caravan which morphed into NATCOA. That was about six years ago. I don't think I've been back to RV.net in almost as long.

Might need to add slide in campers as well. we were looking for a long time for a TC not sure what we wanted. Till I thought about building one. That was a mistake had it half finished almost ready to skin and found out that the nearest place to get alim for it was in Denver CO, Chepest was Think was in Washington state. Got the Ram then the TC. Good forums are hard to find. Some of the others a newbe askes for help those there seem to treat them like they are so dumb. They go over tecno on you. If I knew now from reading the posts here as to when we bought the Ram would of gotten the 3500 cost was not much more. but can always add duells for 3k rims, fenders and have them painted. Found out the rear ends are the same or was that the springs. Just a thought Not going to change anything now maybe after 10 years or till the new truck is old like Rednecks lol. Had to poke fun at him he did a great job at converting. Like you said some were for the bus campers or the tow campers. Thats all there is down here in Texas very few dealers sell TC here.

  :sign0007: I got it fixed!

We just bought our first camper, it is a 2000 Fleetwood Caribou 10F. There was a sticker on the back, there you have it. Funny thing is I have worked for 26 years in the RV industry and never heard of it! Guess I never paid much attention, I am sure there are alot of my teachers that would agree.
Nice place.

Thanks for joining the forum.
With your 26 years in the business, I hope you'll pipe in when a tough question pops up.
Or easy ones lol.
